I have Windows XP SP2 with no patches since then installed.

I have the following printer installed via a standard TCP/IP port (with no attachment to Novell's print servers): HP LaserJet 4350nt

I have no other software installed; this is a clean installation of Windows. When I try to print in Notepad, Paint, any Microsoft Office 2007 program, etc., I receive a "<PROGRAM NAME> has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." error. About one out of ten times, this problem does not occur.

However, when I print from Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, or Macromedia Flash MX 2004 (or any other programs in that suite), no problem occurs.

Printing to a "fake printer" (such as "Send to OneNote" or to a file) is successful.

I have applied post-SP4 patches to Novell Client. This does not resolve the issue.

Uninstalling Novell Client does resolve the issue.

This problem also occurs when the following conditions are met, as well:

-When Windows XP SP3 is installed with all post-SP3 patches; so, patches are not an issue
-When Internet Explorer 6 or Internet Explorer 7 is installed; so, Internet Explorer is not an issue
