We have had an IDE drive fail on a Netware SBS 6.5 server. The drive was mirrored to a second IDE drive. This was the VOL: NSS partition. The mirror is reported as being 97% re-mirrored. No pool or volume shows up. Please don't suggest going to backups and tapes - that is a VERY sore point with too long a history for here.

Is there any way to get the 97% mirror back into life? I have read, here, that removing the dead drive can bring the pool back into visibility.

If the new drive is a SATA drive will it mirror OK with the surviving IDE drive?

Look forward to some pointers.
