I'm a little surprised there still isn't a Linux distro which can install
on a Mac without the need for Boot Camp, Parallels, etc. When it came out
people were so confident that with the existing EFI loader created for
Itanium and the Intel x86 based processor that it would be relatively
simple to create a Linux distribution for the new Intel Macs. What
happened? Linux is running on so many stranger pieces of hardware but it
doesn't seem like there is much work happening on a hardware type that is
growing in use significantly. I go to Starbucks these days and it is a
frequent occurrence that the whole place is Mac. Where's the Linux?
