Our security guys are asking some questions about the dpmw32.exe file that installs with the Novell client. It asks to open up a firewall port on XP and if you do not allow it then you cannot print. They want to know why this process is binding as a public service in a workstation installation? I told them originally that this was a component of NDPS and was needed for communication between the server and client but they need more information. Does anybody else have a more detailed explination of this file and what it is specifically doing?
