We have one application that is having trouble with (un)locking files on a netware share.

The client application creates temporary files on our netware (6.5 SP6) server to edit and rotate multi-page tiff images, and then saves the result to the same location on our netware server. During these actions the client application reports that it cannot delete the temporary files, and therefore the actions fail.

I have set up the anti-virus software to exlude these files from scanning. But the problems remain.

The question is what is locking these files ?
Is it netware itself,
is it a bug in the client ?
Is it the server taking to long to respond ?

Client workstation is windows XP SP2, with client 4.91 SP4.
