I understand that when dealing with a DST scenario (using NSS volumes) where the secondary volume already exists with data and trustee information, and the new primary volume is empty, you are supposed to copy the trustee database over to the primary volume BEFORE you create the shadow volume.

Otherwise, when the shadow volume is created and mounted, the PRIMARY volume trustee info (which is zero) is copied to the SECONDARY volume removing and trustee information you had.

I have tried this, and in every case when I create the DST shadow volume, my trustee information is in fact intact without manually copying the trustee information from the SECONDARY to the PRIMARY volume.

Am I misunderstanding the preservation of trustees when dealing with DST and NSS volumes?
