The entire error is "LOGIN-LGWNT32.DLL-710: The password could not be changed. Error fffffec1. Do you still want to change your password."

I know exactly why we're getting this error but would like to find a resolution so it doesn't confuse any end users. This happens even when using the Novell Client 4.91 SP4 along with all of the post SP4 updates. On Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

It happens on workstations with the NMAS client installed (uninstalling is not an option for us) and when the password has expired and needs to be changed. If a password that is too short is typed, a descriptive error message pops up. The same goes for if a password that was used too recently is attempted.

This error seems to happen only if the new password doesn't meet the complexity requirements. For example, an uppercase letter isn't used or a number or symbol is absent.

Thanks for any assistance,
