Hi all,

This is probably a stupid question, but I'm gonna ask it anyway....

I have some printers that are already set up using NDPS from years ago (I didn't set it up, my sight admin did). The rest of my printers are either using straight IP printing or still using print queues.

My current system is mostly OES Netware, but I'm working on upgrades.

I have set aside an OES Linux server specifically to do printing.

Now the stupid stuff:

Can the printers currently using NDPS also be set up on the Linux side for iPrint? I want to be able to gradually move them over, because the users are scattered all across the county. BUT I'd like to completely "start over" if you will with naming and whatnot, and not have to worry about old NDPS stuff. Basically, I guess what I'm asking is can a printer have 2 different configs (NDPS and iPrint) if the object names are different?

On that same line, can I do the same with my queue based printers? If I create iPrint objects and all that, can I do a cut from queue printing to iPrint without screwing anything up in between?

Does any of this make sense? I know what I'm trying to ask, just not sure if I'm asking it in a way that makes any sense to anybody else.

As always, any assistance is greatly appreciated!
