This may be an eDir issue, but I figured I would start here first. We
are a school district and are in the process of rearranging our tree. As
such we are moving about 5000 user accounts. After moving almost all of
them we are hearing that some people are not getting their home drive
mapped when they login. The error they receive is the "A network drive
cannot be mapped to a drive that is designated as a local drive".

Additionally, in the login script we check for a group membership and run
a program accordingly. This is failing for those users as well.

Clearing and reentering the home directory attribute and deleting and
readding the group membership do not resolve the issue.

If I delete the account and recreate it, everything works fine.

I have run dsrepair on all servers holding replicas of the user
container, with no change in the problem.

What is the next thing to check?
