I want to install a cheap, simple OES2 file server with NSS volume. I'd like the server to have a single (mirrored) drive, meaning I would need to use EVMS to get NSS on the single drive.

But I've seen comments that, although explicitly supported by Novell, the single drive /EVMS/NSS configuration may be more trouble in the future than it's worth.

So I would welcome comments: is the single drive /EVMS/NSS configuration truly practical, or is it really just a bad idea that should have been omitted as an installation option?
