When trying to block AIM and Yahoo IM we found blocking the following
url
worked best, http://192.168.1.1:*/*. This is bound to my private NIC
on
my BM 3.7 server. I want to know if this will have a negative effect
on
anything? I tried Craig's tip #47 but was unable to block yahoo.
Looking
at the log we saw that yahoo was coming in on the address listed
above.
We created a rule to deny access to that url and now yahoo is blocked.

Did I hurt myself in doing this? If not this maybe a great way to
defeat
the IM monster.
