Since migrating 1000+ users to a OES Linux server that just serves up NCP and Samba file access to our users it has been noticed that ndsd process has been taking a large amount of CPU cycles. It goes anyplace from 4% - 200%+ (multiprocessor server) according to top. It seems to have more time around 100%+ during business hours which is making me wonder if it is a ncp thing since ncp runs within the ndsd space. Is there any way to figure out exactly what library/process is chewing up all the CPU within the ndsd processes? Has anyone else seen such high ndsd CPU?
