We reserved 192.168.x.11-20 for static IP's, DHCP starts at .50

On a machine that had a DHCP-assigned address, I changed it to static,

rebooted, and Internet access via the proxy was fine.

But email didn't work, and AOL didn't work. Changing back to the
DHCP-assigned address (it got the same one as before) solved the
problems.

Would someone be nice enough to explain to me what's going on? TIA.

BTW, when I went to look at the DHCP management console, it gave me an

error message about not finding the home path of it - anyone know what

to do about that?

Netware 5.1 SP4, XP/SP1, C32_4.9, Outlook is the email, AOL version is

8.
