We just went to LinwkWall (and it is great so far especially with
RTMonitor) but some users were complaining that they could not access
their Aol web mail.

After looking that we did have a allow rule and they had access before
with SurfControl I had to do some investigating.

What I found was that my.screenname.aol.com kept getting 403’ed and you
would only see it up in the top of the browser window.

We did have a allow rule to http://my.screenname.aol.com AND https://
my.screenname.aol.com. Neither one of these worked.

I then did a Port allow run to my.screenname.aol.com for port 443. This is
when it would work.

Why do I have to do allow for port 443? Why doesn’t the normal HTTPS work?
