On the install of ZCM with an external database, it requests that an install be run on the database server.

It also requires a GUI interface for the install.

What is this install doing that can't be done from the Primary server?

This is in the case of a Oracle 10g database on a linux server (not sure what flavor yet), and a SLES 10 Primary server.

Are there certain sql scripts that are running that could just be handed to an Oracle DBA to run, rather than going though this?

I suppose it would be nice to know this for MS SQL and external Sybase also.
