I posted something similar to my problem here:

To which no one replied. Hard to believe I'm the only one with this issue.

I have a server that will be in my cluster. Install SLES 10 SP 1. Install the updates (had to pick and choose the updates cause they kept breaking my server).

Did all the steps to boot EVMS volumes, which is the problem. My /etc/fstab after following the novell documentation looks like this:

/dev/evms/lvm2/system/Linux_sys / ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 1
/dev/evms/sda1 dm-0p1 /boot ext3 acl,user,xattr 1 2

The second line doesn't make sense really. When I do # mount -a

It tells me that the line2 of /etc/fstab has errors.

The other problem is that when I got to YaST and look at my boot loader, there's nothing. Also, there's nothing in the /boot directory.

Is there some steps I'm missing somewhere?

My other cluster server does not have this problem.
