We are running surf control version 6.0 on a NW65sp3/BM38sp3 server and the
pre alloc size is 415Mb which is now too small again. Trying to increase it
to 430Mb and unloading/reloading cpfilter.nlm causes memory issues and the
nlm refuses to load which means a reboot!

Spoke to Surf Control and they said that the pre alloc size needs to be
twice the .cdb file size which is b**ll**x as far as I'm concerned. This
used to be the case on older Surf Control versions but not anymore so
obviously Surf Control engineers don't know their product. They advised
setting the pre alloc size to 1Gb!!

Is anyone still using this crappy solution and if so how big are they
setting the pre alloc size??

Thanks,
Paul.
