Hi all: I have a somewhat dumb question to ask. We run a BM38 server
with proxy set up for http and https traffic. Everything is working
fine.

In the past I have set up a proxy rule definition for our http proxy
(proxy application using http as the type) that specified ports "80 to
443". I assume that that meant all ports between 80 and 443 inclusive.
So I made a switch to now having two rules, one for port 80 and one for
port 443. The problem with this approach is that i now have to build 2
rules for each type of access required by our employees. (We do not
allow any employee internet access unless thier job requires it.)

Is this the correct approach?? I tried just having port 80 but https
traffic was then blocked.

Thanks for straigthen me out on this, Chris.
