We use bordermanager for our web proxy. I have a Perl script that checks individual web pages. For all our internal web pages, it works fine. But now I need to check some external pages. The script is started by a process that runs on a Windows box under the "system" account, so the Perl script also runs as "system." I have a user ID and password that I could use to go through bordermanager if I could just figure out how to do it.

Is there some way that I can have my script use that user ID to acquire client trust (I think that's what I want) credentials so that bordermanager will let me out?

My terminology may not be right, I'm a monitoring guy, not a Novell guy. Any help will be appreciated.
