Hi,

I just tried updating our 4.91 SP4 client to SP5 on a couple of different computers and now I get the specified server is unknown. Some drives map some don't and if I log out and log back in sometimes the login script will work but if I shutdown I always get at least one specified server is unknown. Once in windows I can manually map using MS tools or Novell tools but the cmd line will give me errors. In service pack 4 we modified our login script to map drives this way

MAP ROOT F:=EC.CENTRAL_OFFICE.SD25\SYS:

which solved some login script slowness. So we changed all of our mappings to that method and it worked great under SP4. In SP5 do need to change mapping back to:

MAP ROOT F:=EC\SYS:
MAP INS S1:=F:\PUBLIC

Or is there something else wrong? I have also tried updating the client to SP5 on computers that have and don't have the Microsoft client and they seem to act the same way getting error specified server is unknown.

What is the best method to use for mapping drives in login scripts?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
