Within an OES environment, there are two ways that I can see to setup DNS:
1. Using the eDir version managed by iManager or the DNS/DHCP Management console.
2. Native SLES DNS daemon, managed with YAST

Looking at iManager's DNS management, it is very slow and clumsy to use, while the trusty DNS/DHCP Management console is OK.

Yet there is a nice simplicity and ease about using DNS via YAST, and good if in an environment where the number of Windows pc's is diminishing and so making the future use of the DNS/DHCP Management Console difficult.

What is the best way to host DNS services in an OES world?
I'm leaning toward the native linux (SLES) way, what are other's doing?
What is the advantage of staying with DNS in eDir?

Cheers and beers!
