I know there has been discussion before about printer drivers and
installing them with a policy, but I need to ask also.

I have a local printer (HP LaserJet P3005d) that I want to install via
policy. If the driver is already installed on the device (as seen in
Server Properties of Printers & Faxes), then the policy works fine.

If I attempt to install the driver via a zip that contains the inf and
all associated files, then it will fail. The logged messages are...

"Printer HP LaserJet P3005d cannot be installed as driver for model name
HP LaserJet P3005 PCL 6 can not be found. You may add the driver using
printer policy."


"Printer driver installation failed for HP LaserJet P3005 PCL 6. Check
if provided drivers inf file is in proper format."

Anyone have any suggestions?
