Hi all: I am having a hard time getting sshd setup properly
on our SLES10 sp2 server. We use this server for ssh
tunneling. I want to move from password authentication to
strictly public key authentication. I have read several
best practices articles on doing this but can't get it
working. At the bottom of this post in my sshd_config file.
Basically all I want is to load the public keys from my
remote clients into .ssh/authorized_keys.

I believe the problem has to do the PAM authentication. If
I turn this off I always get access denied. If I have it
enabled I can bypass the public key altogether.

Anyone do this? Can you point out what I am doing wrong??
Chris

# This is the sshd server system-wide configuration file.
See
# sshd_config(5) for more information.

# This sshd was compiled with

# The strategy used for options in the default sshd_config
shipped with
# OpenSSH is to specify options with their default value
where
# possible, but leave them commented. Uncommented options
change a
