I'm testing DST and from what I read, backups of DST volumes should be done natively (with the linux file system or backing up /media/nss/... if you prefer) and not with SMS so that the primary and the shadow volumes are backed up separately.

From what I've read on other threads, compressed files will be decompressed as part of a native file backup of a nss volume. Does this mean that compression should be avoided with DST volumes?
