I have a BM 3.6 server that is connected to a Netopia Router which is
then
connected to a cable modem. I don't see any need to keep the Netopia.
The
ISP provides a DHCP assigned address (essentially static because the
DHCP
pool is one address) to the cable modem. Can I statically assign that
public
address to the BM server and eliminate the Netopia?

I want to install GWIA on an internal server (behind BM), but if I
keep
Netopia I'll have to enable static NAT there as well as on BM. Seems
excessive to me since only BM is connected to Netopia and I don't have
any
need for a DMZ.
