I am having problems setting up some new stuff. We are hooking up an
additional bordermanager server and an email server. In the class that
I
attended there, they told us to hook it up as follows: router to bm
server
and then to a small switch, off of this small switch was to be both bm

servers and the email server, from the second bm server to the main
switch.
I have done this and am having an "issue or two". Any help is greatlyappreciated. All servers have NW6SP3 and BM3.7 with latest patches.
Thanks

Keith

Here is the best description that I can give. Beginning to get
frustrated
and it is probably something easy.

Router - IP 204.185.231.126

BM2 -
LAN Static Routing is enabled - Default Route 0.0.0.0 204.185.231.126
Packet filtering is turned off.

Public IP 204.185.231.129 (this is hooked up to the router, NAT is
set to
dynamic only)

Private IP 10.10.1.4 (this is hooked up to a small switch, NAT is
disabled)

Switch
Private nic ofBM2, Private nic of BM1, only nic of EMAIL server

Email Server
Private IP of 10.10.1.5

BM1 -
This one was the one in operation and it worked fine.
LAN Static Routing enabled - Default route 0.0.0.0 10.10.1.4 (private
card
of BM2)

Packet filtering is turned off.

Public IP 204.185.231.127 (this is hooked up to the small switch)

Private IP 10.10.1.3 (this is hooked up to the main switch)

Theother 2 servers go into the main switch with private IPs 10.10.1.1,

10.10.1.2.

With this setup:

From the BM2 server I get the following PING results:

BM2 private 100% - but it lists it as the server name and not the IP #

Email server 100%
BM2 public 100%
Router 100%
All other server private IP 0%
BM1 public IP 0%

From BM1 server I get the following PING results

BM2 public and private IP 0%
Email server 0%
Other 2 servers private IPs100%
Router 0%
BM1 public IP 100%
