Does anyone know if "A Beginner's Guide to BorderManager 3.x January
15,
2003 - Second Edition" has a thorough section on dial-on-demand
issues?

We've installed SBS6 with BM 3.6 with all the patches as of mid-June.
We've
done all the SLP configuring necessary. We have no access rules or
filters
setup (proxy login policy enforcement is disabled) and we've enabled
the
HTTP and FTP proxy. Yet we have two persistent problems. When goingstraight through to the Internet, users have no problems, yet when
using the
proxy (8080) they get the BM error DNS can't resolve. The second
problem is
NFAP configured as a Windows server (on the same BM server). The
"Windows"
server is causing the dial-on-demand to dial, connect, and send "..
C:\MAILSLOT\BROWSER... " out onto the Internet AND Microsoft is
answering!
We know it's this "Windows" server because its name also goes out.
Additionally, we have powered down all network clients. The stuff
coming
from Microsoft is Windows 2002 stuff.

Another issue, apparently we can't use the pre-canned filters because
bmgcfg
can't handle 0.0.0.0 on the public side.

So, does anyone know if this book would be worth getting to help us
address
our problems?

Thanks
