We've started having problems with our big-screen TV (it's 14 years old
now, so it's done very well for us), so earlier this week we ordered this:

Now while something weird is going on with the order status on Costco (it
still says the order is "in process" even though we ordered it on
Monday), the packages arrived yesterday.

We don't have it mounted on the ceiling yet, but we did set the screen up
and set the unit on the ottoman in front of the futon in our "media room".

Even with the lights on full, the picture is bright enough to watch.
Placing it about 7 feet from the screen, I end up with a diagonal picture
of - well, I'm not sure. But it's *huge*. Placing the unit at the back
of the room on the ceiling mount, I know we'll easily fill the screen.

The only downside I've found is that it doesn't support closed captioning.

Well, OK, there's one other - the screen is designed to be used for
either front projection or rear projection - which means right now, the
neighbors can see very clearly what we're watching on TV because the
screen is in front of the window at the end of the room.

Our annual LOTR marathon this year is going to be *awesome*. :-)
