Hi,

I am searching through the Login script guide in Novell documentation for
reference to IP addresses and am struggling...
The problem below explains the question I think...

Our Edir tree consists of 2 OU's which relate to 2 physical sites. We'll
call them site1.tree and site2.tree
Each OU has a server - server1.site1.tree and server2.site2.tree
A user - user1.site1 - may work out of either physical site office, and will
often login to his home server (server1) from the other site office (site2).
And vice versa...

Basically, this causes the login script to run from the site that they are
not currently sat at. The result is obviously traffic across our WAN link.

To minimise this, we want to setup the login script to identify the login
request by IP address, as each site has a different address range.

Can I setup the login script in this way? Basically as below...

IF %CLIENTIP% = 10.0.X.X THEN
RUN SITE1 LOGIN SCRIPT
ELSE IF %CLIENTIP% = 10.1.X.X THEN
RUN SITE2 LOGIN SCRIPT

Thanks in advance, I'm sure this has been complicated, so please let me know
if there's an easier fix!

Alan
