We are currently in the process of building an image for all our laptop users and one of the goals is to make their build totally independant of the network so that they can still use their laptops where ever they are.

We want to deliver Office 2007 to them from the NAL cache to do this we extract all the applications they require as an addon image for the NAL cache into our imaging DVD. This works really well with any application that is an MSI as ZENworks copies all the source installation files to the NALcache. Now that Microsoft in their wisdom have dropped MSI's in their 2007 release of Office this process does not work and when we extract the Office 2007 application none of the source files get copied.

I wondered if there is a way of extracting the source files into the NALCache for applications that are just standalone exe files.
