Hi All,
we are currently considering a 5 node OES2 Linux cluster within ESX 3.5 which in a test environment runs great. My concern is that the OES2 NSS documentation warns against setting up NSS volumes on file-backed disk images for Xen.
My research thus-far has basically turned up that the only way to have multiple nodes running on the same VMware Host server is by using VMDK's, which i'm assuming are the equivalent of a Xen file-backed disk image.
1. Has anyone experienced issues with this?
2. Does this recommendation apply to ESX?
3. Am I asking for trouble setting up my production environment in this manner?

SAN is Hitachi AMS500

Any feedback appreciated.
