I am running into some problems with login scripts and differentiation
between workstations on NT, XP, and Windows Server 2003/terminal
sessions.

The login script needs to do different things depending on which of
these platforms are being used. Unfortunately, the Windows
2003/terminal session login reports the platform as being WNT, the
same as Windows NT.

Windows NT and Windows Server 2003/Terminal session report two
different versions on the %OS_VERSION variable - V4.00 and V5.02
respectively. When trying to evaluate in the login script, I either
get "can't understand the line" errors or no real evaluation.

Login script line reads:

WRITE "%OS_VERSION"
IF "%OS_VERSION" ==V5.02 THEN
WRITE "Version 5"
ELSE
WRITE "VERSION 4"

I have tried putting " " around the V5.02, taking " " off of
%OS_VERSION. The error is on that IF "%OS_VERSION" line.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Paul
