I've been running a Netware 6 SP5 server for quite some time. Got a new
batch of SDLT tapes in and while testing them I noticed that I get the
following every time I try to do a test:

Jan-27 05:50:30 2251 E1062 Invalid session signature, abbaabba
Jan-27 05:50:30 2251 E1062 Invalid session signature, abbaabba
Jan-27 05:50:30 2251 E1056 Invalid file header [] signature=0

The great part is that the logs say the backup was successful. I've
gone back in my log file and of course this has happen with my weekly
and monthly backups too.

I've done quite a bit of searching and haven't come up with a solution
that works. I have tried different tapes, different drive, quick-erase
plus, full erase but it still happens in the same place every time which
is right at the start of a new session. I did do another test with 3
small volumes and it worked just fine.

As far as I can tell my Arcserve 9.01 has all the patches available. Of
course support has been discontinued by CA so they are no help.

Anyone have a possible solution? I hate to change software or upgrade
as I just can't afford it although I'd love to can Arcserve at this
point. Any cheap backup software out there for Netware that does the
job? This is a home setup not a business with funds to burn.
