We have several files on one volume that are corrupt. They are all MS Office files. The time frame for when this corruption occurred is eluding us, but it seems to be progressing. We did have a server crash at some point and had to restore the volume contents from backup. We use Commvault Galaxy for backup. The support engineer from Commvault suspects that Netware compression is part of the mix. Is there any way to flag a file as compressed without actually compressing the file or changing anything else about the file? Then we can uncompress it and see if it is intact. We suspect that the file may still be compressed although it is not flagged so.
