Need to look at managing paper at a small office. It is a small local gov't
office and they have two users. The goal is to as time permits scan old
stuff and destroy the paper and to scan in new stuff. Paperport looks like
it might fit. It scans them into PDFs which is nice because that is not
proprietary. I called them (nuance) and they claimed that there was no limit
to files it could index except there was a 255 subfolder max limitation. Its
pretty likely there is a practical limit though. Their multi-user version
consists of loading another copy on the second machine and poiting it at the
share where the files are located. I am guessing it builds its own index.

Any thoughts on this appreciated.
