Imaging ZENworks for Desktops 7 problem.

At a customers site I have the following problem.

The cluster environment has been upgraded to SuSE Linux 10 Open Enterprise Server 2 SP1

The cluster consist of 5 cluster nodes.
xxx.xx.57.1 NetWare 6.5
xxx.xx.57.2 NetWare 6.5
xxx.xx.57.86 SLES10 OES2 SP1
xxx.xx.57.91 SLES10 OES2 SP1
xxx.xx.57.96 SLES10 OES2 SP1

DHCP server is a cluster resource xxx.xx.57.18 and is available on 2 cluster resources (xxx.xx.57.86 and xxx.xx.57.96)

ZENworks for Desktops 7 SP1 IR3a is installed on xxx.xx.57.91 (local installation, not as cluster resource)

After installation I found out that the imaging server will not work on SLES10 OES2 SP1 (worked perfectly on OES2)

Component novell-zmgserv is Stopped

See TID 7002088

Therefor I uninstalled and reinstalled ZENworks for Desktops 7 (excluding PXE and Imaging) on the xxx.xx.57.91 and installed PXE and Imaging on the xxx.xx.57.1 (NetWare 6.5)

Unfortunately I'm not able to get the PXE boot working correctly.

Since the DHCP and PDHCP server are running on seperate servers, I did not use DHCP option 60 (PXEClient)

The ZEN7 documentations states:

Linux DHCP Server
For the case where you have Preboot Services and DHCP running on separate servers, no network configuration is required

URL: Novell Documentation

I have tried all options with pdhcp.ini but still without any result.
I also tested with the DHCP subnet options: Boot Parameter Options

As a last option I uninstalled and reinstalled ZENworks for Desktops 7 (excluding Imaging) on the xxx.xx.57.91 and installed Imaging on the xxx.xx.57.1 (NetWare 6.5)

In all situations above I get the following error when PXE booting a WS:

CLIENT MAC ADDR:
PXE-053: No boot filename received

PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.

Suggestions are more than welcome.

Wilco
