A few months back we had a server go down for the last time, refused to come back up. We restored the data and dhcp to another server while ordering a new one. While on this server DHCP was updating dns with the workstation names in the same spot as the server it was on (location1.domain.com).

The new server has been up and running well for months now, when we moved back to the new server, DHCP was moved back and I cleared all the workstations out of the location1.domain.com and thought it was all done.

I happened to check recently and saw that its sill putting them into the location1 instead of location2.domain.com.

Checking the dhcp settings all entries are correct. I've deleted and re-created the dhcp pool and its still putting them in the wrong location.

Any thoughts as to what I'm missing?
