Now here's an interesting tidbit

According to our lawncare service, we had 5,000 square feet of lawn last
spring. We had another company do sod removal and put in river rock in the
fall. The job was written up as "remove 2000 square feet of sod and replace
with mulching material). Plus, we removed another 500 square feet in the
front yard in another project. The lawncare service just came out to
remeasure for their lawncare service, and we were told that we now have 3400
square feet of lawn

You do the math! My guess is that when you are charging by the square foot,
estimates are always high - whether it be how much you are removing, or how
much you are treating <heehee>.
