We are running DNS on one server for about 3000 client machines. We have 3 DHCP servers for 3 different subnets.
When i do a nslookup for a client names, it has around 20 different ip's listed for that client. This seems to be causing an issue for an application i am running cause the names get mixed up, and the app show like 4 computers with the same name.
Is there a way to flush novell's dns, so only 1 ip is listed for every specific pc? I tried loading named -pa while named was already running. That did not seem to do anything.
How is possible for dns to cache all the older used ip's?
