I have a situation where network users are becoming very lazy about logging off, and are sometimes leaving their PCs logged into the network for several days whilst they themselves are out of the office.
Despite new security policies clearly indicating this is unacceptable practice, some of the more senior users seem to think this doesn't apply to them !
Several even resort to turning off their displays to fool us into thinking they are logged off :)
It now seems necessary to be more forceful on the matter in order to comply with the new security policies, and I was considering configuring the server to drop specific connections after a certain period of inactivity.
Of course certain other connections would need to remain open such as Backup Exec and other auditing software etc.
Is this the best way to tackle this situation and, if it is, can somebody please remind how to configure the server accordingly.
Many thanks
