We have a rapidly failing HP EVA SAN that is being replaced tomorrow by another HP EVA SAN (new). HP has offered to copy all the data over from the old SAN to the new themselves as a SAN to SAN copy. We are running OES-NW 6.5 2 node cluster. I am wondering what will possibly break or be missed if HP copies the data over while all clustered resources are offline, and we bring the servers back up with their fibre channels connected to the SAN? Will cluster resources function "normally" or will they need to be rebuilt? Will we lose trustee assignments etc.? Anything else anyone can think of that we're over looking? Anyone have experience with hot or cold data moves?
