After a recent event one of our ZCM Servers is queing thousands of messages in the C:\Program Files\Novell\ZENWorks\works\collection\messages although it does appear to be reducing slowly, but also since the problem Under the "Configuration\System Information" we are now no longer able to view any messages, would it seem sensible that the problems are related? The database has grown by about 50% in the same period also.

When in the "Configuration\System Information" Tab after a period of 3-4 Minutes the following error is returned "Failed to retrieve Message Log entries.: org.hibernate.exception.LockAcquisitionException: could not execute query See the ZENworks Control Center log file (zcc.log) for the full stack trace."

Are we able to shut the services down in particular the Loader Service and delete the entire contents of the C:\Program Files\Novell\ZENWorks\works\collection\messages then restart the services.

We have set the " Automatic Message Cleanup " down to 1 day which should include all the messages but it's doesn't appear to help.

All other options are O.K the ZCC Summary Page only show 100 Machines out of 3000+ machines with the RED Critical Status.

Any help would be much appreciated.
