So, in my program I do updates on items with delete and recreate, and to do
the deletion I call purgeRequest, so that the items don't just end up in the
user's trash. On my test system it works fine because smart purge is turned
off and the items disappear from the users mailbox. On our production system
there is a mixed environment where some post offices have smart purge turned
on and some have smart purge turned off, and when I call purgeRequest on a
PO with smart purge turned on, nothing happens. Shouldn't the purgeRequest
be turned into a removeRequest when smart purge is on? Or is the proper
procedure to call a removeRequest for all items and then a purgeRequest for
all items?
