I would like to get some clarification on the use of NCP with Reiser volumes. I have two OES2 SP1 servers in a NCS cluster using iSCSI. The iSCSI target is a SLES10 SP2 box. Obviously by using Reiser rather than NSS no volume object is created when the storage is provisioned. I now however want to provide access to the shared storage via NCP. If I use the standard NCP commands or iManager to do this it names the object <servername>_<volumeObjectname> meaning that I effectively have to create a volume object in eDirectory for each server the volume may run on. Has anyone done this before and if so do you know a better way of doing this? Effectively I want to create a single volume object that represents the shared volume/cluster resource and not create objects on a server by server basis.
