I'm at a loss for why no modern day file/operating system doesn't have a
simple, yet effective, purge and salvage feature like Netware's NSS.
It's saved my buttocks a few times. To me it seems like a no brainer.

I've found a few third party add-ons for Windows Desktops and Servers
and SLED has that capability through NSS, but I'm not seeing many
solutions for Linux in general. I was kind of hoping maybe one of the
FS for Linux might add that kind of support, but no (or I blackout
during reading).

So what's out there that I'm missing?
