I've not been backing up my server because of the constraints of my
current network configuration. Basically, the Private NIC is attached to
a Cisco Switch (port configured as Half-Duplex 10 MB) then to a Cisco
Router (10 MB) port that is internally routed to the Intranet Port (10 MB)
that is connected to a Cisco Switch (port configured as Half-Duplex 10 MB).

So basically I only have a 10 MB link from the BM Private NIC to our
LAN/WAN. As you can imagine, the backup rate is dog slow.

My question is, can I safely create secondary NIC link to the inside of
our LAN/WAN (by passing the Router) and connect to the same Cisco switch
that the Backup Server is connected so I have a 100MB connection and
filter it tp the Arcserve Server only?

If so, how?
