According to the ZCM System Deployment and Best Practices Guide,

Novell Documentation

multihoming of the primary servers is recommended for performance. This makes sense as presumably the clients would communicate with the primary servers on one network/network card and the server/db communication would take place on a different network/network card.

Has anyone actually done this?

Is any configuration or software required besides just configuring two network cards on the primary servers with addresses on two separate vlans/networks?

I'm worried that despite being multihomed on two networks, traffic might just "default" to one network card. Beyond using traceroute, how can I confirm it is working properly?
