I performed an in-place upgrade (gasp!) of a NW 5.1sp7 server up to NSBS
6.5sp2. The NOS upgrade seemed to go fine, but BM 3.8 has been a disaster.

Short history of issues:
BM 3.8 installation failed to extend schema
-changed LDAP Group to accept clear-text passwords, copied *.ldf files
from CD to sys:system\schema and ran schxtnd.nlm. The module seemed to
process the attribute files successfully, (by the way, the logging sucks)
but ABENDED the server at the end.

Uninstalled BM 3.8 and attempted reinstall
-Noted that CPDATAJV.NLM failed to load; public symbol error. Apparently
UTILJV.NLM was not autoloading. Restarted install, manually loaded
UTILJV.NLM and progressed. Passed the schema extension and moves to
migration of filters, then server ABENDed. (see the end of this post)
-Ran installation several more times and server did exactly the same
thing. It hangs for several minutes migrating filters, then abends.

I've checked the filters.cfg file, and it looks fine. Filtcfg.nlm loads
fine and I can modify and add filter records.

Any suggestions?
