Hi all,
Well, many of one have complain about the slownest speed regarding BackupExec 12.5 for Windows (All Updates for BE12.5 + All Ralus Patches applied very important) and Linux Ralus Agent on OES 2 Linux.

I tested a lot of scenarios and parameters and I would like to share with you a recipe who works for us.

1) NSSMU / Volumes / on the volumes properties change "Read Ahead Count in block to 128.

2) Edit /etc/fstab with the following option on the NSS line
DATA /media/nss/DATA nssvol noauto,rw,name=DATA,ns=long,noatime,nodiratime 0 0

We had a very poor performance from the beginning and since we changed these 2 parameters we backup our files 5 x times more faster then before.

I don't if we are just lucky ... Nothing to loose to try on your side.
