I'm trying to install Symantec's Alert Management System (AMS). The documentation, while confusing, does say that it can be done. I worked with Symantec for two hours yesterday and couldn't get it installed. The engineer finally said that Symantec doesn't recommend AMS for two reasons: One, AMS tends to consume the server's memory; and two, Netware is such a reliable OS that it doesn't need an alert system. Hmmm. That said, two days after I installed the antivirus program, the new virus definition found a virus.

Has anyone successfully installed Symantec's AMS on a Netware server. I am just looking to monitor the primary and secondary servers. Not the clients. They are unmanaged. Have you run into the suggested memory problems.
